Moonstruck

Next week we will be in NYC and will see Puccini’s La Boheme at the Metropolitan Opera.

I have seen a few other operas there, but not this one. Last year we saw Wagner. Dark, hard Teutonic sounds.

But, aside from the opera itself, there is something about going to the Met.

Lovers and friends meet outside at the fountain that sparkles in the night. Couples that come together slow down and linger at the fountain too.

They grab hands, walk slowly through the big square toward the chandeliers and glass of the opera house.

It is the romance of it all.

One becomes – moonstruck.
