This is just priceless to me.
Clay Aiken on Broadway. Spamalot. “You Won’t Succeed on Broadway… “
I love, love, love it. It is hilarious.

I recently discovered some great (frozen) leek and pork dumplings at the Asian Market, made by Master Wu. We bought a few packages, and have been in dumpling heaven since. I make my own “sauce” with soy sauce, white vinegar, and a little dot of chili sauce.
They are almost as good as the dumplings at the dim sum place we sometimes hit in Arlington – China Garden. If you are ever in the neighborhood, you should go there for dim sum on weekends – but you have to get there by 11 am or forget getting a table.
By Linda Ronstadt. That I have not heard in forever. I still like it.

As in Adam Lambert – who will win American Idol, not blind Scott MacIntyre.
Adam is as gay and campy as they come. [Again?]
He is 25 and has been doing musical theater and cabaret in LA for a few years now. Watch all of this, it only gets crazier and crazier – as in good crazy…
Last night was Michael Jackson night on AI – check this out too …

Today for no apparent [conscious] reason I remembered a great film – it is Koyaanisqatsi, made in 1982. It is all images and music – music by Phillip Glass.
I first saw this on tv. Then on the big screen in Greenwich Village. Again at the Beacon Theater in NYC, with Phillip Glass and an orchestra playing along live, instead of the soundtrack.
Koyaanisqatsi means “life out of balance.”
I think the film still resonates today.
Here is the trailer.

A couple of months ago we went to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, and came across this on the piazza -

It is Roy Lichtenstein’s “House III.”

I came across this video this morning.
It is Elvis Costello’s “Everyday I Write the Book” – which is a cool song, but, mostly, I think the video is pretty interesting. To me, now, anyway.

Almost a foot of snowed-in-ness and counting.
It is a good thing we have smokes and hot chocolate.
And a great snowed-in song…. “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol.
